This acrylic painting was inspired by the beauty of Louisiana live oaks, the inquisitiveness of deer and the close protective bond between mothers and their young. The Louisiana sunset glows thru the dense foliage of the majestic live oak, which creates an almost architectural space under which Louisiana life takes its refuge. By their nature, deer are largely silent and remain so most of their life. However, the deer communicate constantly.
 
        The scene is reminiscent of our total dependence on God, who calls us to stay close to Him for protection and sustenance. Our relationship with God is based on a heart bond where our communication and inspirations most often happen in silence. Simply put, this simple glimpse at nature serves as a natural sign of our relationship with our Lord.
